Love Fantasy Adventure? Perhaps Sky Dog Will Suit You!
Have you watched Sky Dog yet? Sky Dog starts with Josh, a high school senior, finding a dog going through the garbage at an airport after he's been told that he won't be recommended for his flight test. This movie has a scene that brings up a very important issue for pet owners - how they can be vulnerable to coercion when the life of their pet is threatened.
Sometimes people wonder why a person might surrender their pet for adoption. Sky Dog - Free Family Fun Movie?
Imagine finding out that your mother has been kidnapped because she is part of the CIA. This movie is a bit reminiscent of the Spy Kids movies that came out in the 90's. While Sky Dog is posted by Family Channel on YouTube, it is best suited for high school age and older due to some scenes that are suggestive of violence. While there are quite a few ads in this ad-supported free movie, the tension really kept my attention throughout the movie.
One very important issue is brought up in the movie - how people can be abused through their pets. This is an important issue for people of all ages who are pet owners. While this is often a very real situation in some homes it may be triggering for some viewers. Therefore, I think it would be important to precede the viewing of this movie with a discussion about what people can do if the life of their pet is ever threatened.
The bits of high-tech gadgets inserted are used quite believably throughout the movie.
The lead character - appears a bit old for the role, as do some of the other teens in the movie. However, his voice does sound young and has the tones of a male voice going through that awkward stage.
Overall, I enjoyed this movie and I would probably watch it again.
